SANO
specialises in the development and production of
ergonomic transport systems for negotiating steps and
stairs.
In
addition to excellent handling performance and
function-specific design, one of the key development
objectives of our electric-powered stairclimbers is to
make things as easy as possible for the user.
Ergonomic design helps these stairclimbers to prevent
back problems. As a result, SANO actively contributes
to the health of people operating our systems.
The
Liftkar MTK series has proven a huge success on the
market since its introduction in 1991. These
stairclimbers shift loads of up to 310 kg.
Within 2
years we developed the Liftkar SAL range (Strong
Aluminium) to meet market demands for lighter and
faster stairclimbers. This series is suitable for
loads of up to 170 kg and has been in production since
2000. The Liftkar SAL is known, quite rightly, as the
lightest and fastest stairclimber in the world.
With our
new modular electric-powered stairclimber - the
Liftkar SAL HD (Heavy Duty), scheduled for launch in
autumn 2007, capacity specifications for everyday
tasks with loads of up to 330 kg will be met in full.
Our
second most important line of business is mobile
transport units for disabled people. The Liftkar PT
(Personal Transport) range is also a SANO development.
These have been in production since 2004.
The
objective of the PT product group is to provide
systems that are straightforward and safe to use and
that extend the range of movement for disabled people,
enabling them to integrate more easily into daily
life.
Following
two building phases of offices and workshops, SANO
headquarters in Lichtenberg near Linz/Austria now has
a production area of approx. 2,350 m² (status July
2007: 34 employees).
